Graceful pair of bent rattan armchairs or dining chairs made in the California coastal organic modern style by McGuire. The chairs feature a thick pole rattan frame inset with woven honeycomb cane on the seat backs. Each seat has a thick fitted seat cushion with a colorful fabric having a soft textured floral print motif. The rattan is lashed together with light colored leather rawhide laces on the exposed joints. The natural rattan has a desirable aged patina which has subtly darkened with time to a dark warm honey tone. Sturdy construction with excellent joinery and craftsmanship. From an estate in San Francisco, CA. McGuire makers plaques on bottoms of chairs.
