Stately English Georgian style Devonshire wingback armchair designed by Ralph Lauren for Henredon. The grand chair features a large beechwood frame with fully developed wings and a matching ottoman. The frame is upholstered with an Italian velvet fabric with a tufted seat and ottoman. The rich fabric is bordered with patinated brass tack nail heads. The beechwood frame has an intentionally distressed finish on the wood to mimic a 19th-century piece. The velvet fabric has a desirable lightly faded patina. Very heavy and solid with excellent joinery and craftsmanship. Original order tags and Ralph Lauren labels on bottoms.
